Overview

Stok Kangri Expidition is one of the most famous among the tourists. It offers a spectacular view of Indus Valley and Karakoram Range. From day one till the day 5 you will pitch tent to spend your night. In those 5 days you will be accompanied by cook, guide, helper and porters to carry your luggage and trekking required stuff.     Leh to Martselang to Chogdo (3-4 Hrs)

    After having Breakfast, drive to Martselang for an hour. After reaching there start walking for 2 hours until you reach Shang Sumdo. Again after two more hours of walk you will finally reach Chogdo. For the night you have to pitch camp and there is no better means than a cup of tea and your sleeping bag to suffice your day long travel.

    From now on, we will follow a new and rarely traveled route through the valleys to the east of our objective. Today, we turn towards the west into a tributary valley that leads after a long and gradual ascent to the Gyuncho La. We have to search a spot for camping so for that we will descent a few meters bellow to establish our campsite.

    Today, we will cross many spurs and minor passes with occasional views northwards towards the Indus Valley and the peaks beyond. We climb up to the Shang La and then descend to the Tokpo River. We will witness a bird eye view Stok view, Leh range, Khardungla and Changla. Afterwards we will trek downhill to a nice camping place.

    At the pass, colorful prayer flags flap in the wind, with the Zanskari range in the background. Afterwards, we descend steadily along the Zingchan River. We get great views towards the Stok summit and the Stok Kangri (6121m).

    Our route initially crosses scree and boulder slopes, and then leads to easy angled snow slopes, which require ice axe and crampons. The route is not difficult but at this altitude, it will be strenuous. From the summit of Stok Kangri (6116m), we should see as far as the Karakoram, the Pamirs and Tibet. If it's warm enough we'll rest and recover some energy on top before descending to base-camp.

    Today is the last day of your trekking, it is the day to head back Leh. You will walk from downhill through the wild gorge scenery. While waiting for the Jeep to drive you back Leh, visit Stok Palace and museum while we wait for our jeeps. We’ll drive an hour across the Indus valley surrounded by mountains with changing shapes and colors. You will finally spend your night at the comfy hotel.

• Any Kind of Personal Expenses or Optional Tours / Extra Meals Ordered
• Anything not specifically mentioned under the head “Prices Included”.
• Tips, Insurance, Laundry, Phone Calls.
• Any Kind of Drinks (Alcoholic, Mineral, Aerated)
• Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/ stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.

Terms and Conditions

• Prices valid from 16th June 2019 to 29th Sep 2019.
• 10% cancellation charges if the trekking is cancelled within 30 days before the tour.
• 20% cancellation charges if the tour and trek is cancelled within a one week before the tour.
• No refund if the trek or tour is cancelled after starting or middle of the trek or tour.
